Objectives of the Masso-Oncology training :

Consider patients and their relatives in their bio-psychosocial, cultural and spiritual dimensions.
Understand the different adaptation phases of various diseases, and with this knowledge learn how to accompany client suffering from cancer and other disseases and become a better support person.
Acquire and integrate various concepts associated with the processes of illness, death and bereavement.
Familiarize yourself with the role of a support person through different scenarios, discussions and personal integration activities.
Experiment and develop your ability to be a support person through massage by participating in internships with clients with cancer and/or fatal illness, and palliative care.

Prerequisite: Swedish Massage I or an accredited 400 hour massage therapy Program.

Attestation : 225h

Diploma : 300h (225h Attestation + 75h Practical stages in hospital environment)

300h Diploma (225h Attestation + 75h Practical stages in hospital environment)

The cost of the 75 hours additional training in hospital environment is between $1800 and $2500 depending on the hospital where the student is doing the stages.

To be officially registered in the course, a non-refundable deposit of $495 must be paid (for course notes and mentoring fees).

Payment methods

Payments can be made in one, two, three instalments with no additional fees or interest. Monthly payments can also be arranged. Please note that the 5% rebate is not applicable to monthly payments arrangements.
