FAQ about our Swedish massage courses and certification

Find the answers to the questions most frequently asked by prospective students of our massage therapy school in Montreal.

What are the key lessons from the Swedish Massage I course?

Our Swedish massage course enables students to become professional massage therapists with a Swedish massage certification. This comprehensive 400-hour training is divided into three components:

Theory courses taught at one of our campuses or online with live instructors.

Practical courses that allow you to apply the techniques of Swedish massage.

In-school clinical stages under the supervision of one of our certified teachers.

Can I take your Swedish massage course online?

In order to meet the individual needs of our students, some of our massage therapy courses are taught via live virtual classes.

The theoretical part of the Swedish Massage I course can be done live in small groups with our teachers via the ZOOM platform.

However, the practical part of this course must be done in class, under the supervision of our teachers at one of our three campuses in Montreal.

Can I start working in Quebec as soon as I finish the program?

Yes, once a student has passed all exams, we send them a diploma from our Academy of Massage Therapy. This diploma entitles the student to be recognized by the Federation of Quebec Massage Therapists (FQM). The new graduate will then be able to issue insurance receipts.

Visit our about page to learn more about the Federation of Quebec Massage Therapists (FQM).

Who is the Swedish Massage I course for?

The Swedish Massage I training offered by IKRA Academy of Massage Therapy is intended both for beginners who aspire to become massage therapists and for professionals who wish to diversify their massage techniques.
