The Chinese Massage is a combination of acupressure (finger pressure on acupuncture points), massage techniques (pressing, kneading, rolling, etc.), and shaking and pulling techniques. The Tuina massage focuses on balancing the musculoskeletal system and promoting the proper circulation of Qi, Blood, and Fluids, which regulate all the physiological processes of the body and restores balance, harmony and health in the internal organs, meridians and neuromuscular system.
TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) principles will be learnt such as Yin/Yang, 5-Elements, Meridian and Point Theory, Chi and the other four fundamental substances of the body. Tao-yin(self-massage) and Chi-Kung will also be introduced.
